Previously employed with our UC22 and UC27 alternators, the SX460 was an analog, 2-phase sensing, self-excited automatic voltage regulator (AVR). It operated by connecting the AVR with the main stator windings and the exciter field windings to achieve closed-loop control of the output voltage. To ensure authenticity, purchase the replacement AVR, AS440, exclusively from an authorized STAMFORD.
